Washington, D.C. – The Coalition Against Surprise Medical Billing issued the following statement following a final rule on the No Surprises Act:
“Every patient deserves to be protected from surprise medical bills – and every consumer deserves more affordable health care coverage. That’s why we have strongly supported the No Surprises Act, which eliminated approximately 2 million surprise bills in just the first two months of this year, and is slated to lower health care costs for consumers.
“Together with our allies representing patients and consumers, the union and employer groups that help lead this coalition look forward to reviewing the final rule carefully – with the hope that it will continue to protect patients and lower costs for consumers.”
